Ski team retirees drawn to skier X 
Daron Rahlves jokes that “it’s almost like the retirement tour.” But there’s nothing shuffleboard-like about skier X, or skiercross as it will be known when it makes its debut in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Like the snowboard version, boardercross, skiercross features a pack of racers negotiating jumps, turns and each other’s elbows as they speed to the bottom of a course.

Waiting year pays off for Posluszny 
Highly regarded linebacker Paul Posluszny was considering entering the NFL draft as a junior. Instead, he will be among the most closely watched participants when the Senior Bowl kicks off Saturday in Mobile, Ala. Posluszny’s mind was made up for him when he suffered a knee injury in the 2006 Orange Bowl, but the apparent setback may ultimately be a boon.
